What will be new on the 2018 Chevy Traverse?

Crossover are flooding the market right now. These vehicle draw in customers with the sheer amount of versatility they have to offer. One of the standouts in this class has been the Chevrolet Traverse. Traverse fans will be eager to know when they can expect a new version of their favorite crossover. The new model of the Traverse has just been revealed. So what will be new on the 2018 Chevy Traverse?

2018 Traverse New Engine

A new engine will be offered on the 2018 Chevy Traverse. The crossover can be equipped with a new 3.6-liter V-6 engine. Performance numbers are not yet available on the new engine, but Chevy is anticipating a 10 percent increase in horsepower and fuel economy estimates checking in at around 25 miles per gallon highway. The new RS trim will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines will come equipped with a stop/start feature that helps improve fuel economy.

2018 Chevy Traverse New Trim Levels and Features

Two new trim levels will be added to the Traverse lineup for the 2018 model year: RS and High Country. The RS trim is designed to added sporty performance to the crossover, while the High Country places an emphasis on luxury.

RS models come equipped with 20-inch wheels, the four-cylinder engine and special black exterior accents.

High Country trim levels will come equipped with unique interior trim, Loft Brown leather appointments, 20-inch polished wheels, power-fold third row seats and the special twin-clutch all-wheel drive system.

2018 Chevy Traverse New Safety Features The 2018 Chevy Traverse has just been revealed. Several updates and revisions have been made to this great crossover for the new model year. This includes the addition of several safety systems. The 2018 Chevy Traverse new safety features will provide even more peace of mind to drivers and passengers. New 2018 Traverse Safety Systems Several new safety-oriented technologies have been added to the Traverse for the 2018 model year. New Traverse safety features include: Surround Vision. D-Optic LED headlamps. Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warnings. Front Pedestrian Braking. Forward Collision Alerts. Low and High-Speed Forward Automatic Braking. These features join a healthy collection of features that carry over from past Traverse models. The 2017 Traverse could be equipped with features like: Rearview camera. OnStar. Blind-spot and rear-cross traffic monitoring system. Forward collision alerts. Lane departure warnings. These systems are also supported by a healthy collection of airbags. The 2017 model also earned a five star government crash test rating, the highest possible score. Crash test results for the 2018 Traverse are not yet available. In addition to all of these safety features, the 2018 Traverse will include Chevy’s Teen Driver feature as standard equipment. This system allows parents to set restrictions on learning drivers, and review driving performance after the fact. The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse is set to go on sale during the fall of 2017. How big is the LEGO Batmobile? Attendees of the North American International Auto Show will have noticed an interesting new concept car Chevrolet displayed. This giant LEGO Batmobile has been designed by Chevrolet in LEGO’s team of master builders. So how big is the LEGO Batmobile? LEGO Batmobile Dimensions and Size The LEGO Batmobile is designed to be lifesize. The model is inspired by Batman’s Speedwagon from the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie, which will be debuting in theaters everywhere on February 10. “To work on the LEGO® Batmobile with Warner Bros. is an absolute thrill for us at Chevy. Many of the themes in ‘The LEGO Batman Movie,’ like imagination, family and community, align perfectly with our Chevy brand values and add to the value of the partnership.” – Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. The life-size model measures 83 inches inches high, is 204 inches long and 111 inches wide. Each tire weight over 100 pounds, and the model as a whole weighs in at 1,695.5 pounds. 344,187 bricks in 17 colors were used to construct the Batmobile. The model is build on an aluminum frame made of 86 feet of tubing. Creating the Batmobile was a long process, taking 222 hours to design and 1,833 hours to build in the LEGO Model Shop in Enfield, Connecticut.
